NEW EU ENTRY RULES FOR TRAVELERS

If you’re traveling to Europe soon, this is important. The EU has officially rolled out its new Entry/Exit System (EES), a digital border control process replacing passport stamps. What this means: first-time arrivals will now be required to stop at a kiosk to scan their passport, take a photo, provide fingerprints, and answer a few questions, a separate process from passport control. Since launching on April 10, this has already led to longer lines and delays at many arrival airports. What to expect: longer processing times, especially on your first entry into the EU.
