ALPHA SCHOOL MIAMI: RAISING ACCOUNTABLE KIDSAlpha School hosted an engaging and thought-provoking evening at the University of Miami with Raising Accountable Kids, a fireside conversation featuring bestselling author John G. Miller and Alpha’s Head of School Joshua Lezmi. The discussion centered on one of the most pressing topics for families today: how to raise children who take ownership, handle challenges, and develop the resilience necessary for real life. Through practical examples and honest insights, the conversation explored ways parents can encourage responsibility, strengthen communication, and help children build confidence from an early age. Parents left with thoughtful takeaways and actionable ideas, making it a meaningful evening for the Miami community. Events like this reflect Alpha School Miami’s commitment to supporting students and families beyond the classroom. A DAY BY THE BAY305 Hive® Media had an incredible time sponsoring the 20th Annual Deering Seafood Festival on the Bay, presented by the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board. The festival brought together the very best of our community, from live music and dancing to unforgettable food and vibrant cultural experiences. Throughout the day, our team had the opportunity to connect with so many amazing attendees, welcome new subscribers into the Hive, and share what we’re all about. Our booth stayed buzzing with energy as guests stopped by to enter our raffle, meet the team, and join in on the excitement. Even Buzzy made a special appearance, taking in the culture and adding a little extra fun to the day. Events like these are what make Miami so special. We’re always grateful to be part of moments that bring people together, celebrate local culture, and create meaningful connections. BOOK CLUB AT THE COLLABJoin us at The Collab for our next Book Club gathering. Enjoy delicious bites, wine, and lively discussion as we dive into My Husband's Wife, a twist-filled psychological thriller that will keep everyone guessing. It’s the perfect evening to connect with fellow readers and share your take on the story. Get your tickets HERE. COURTSIDE BRUNCH AT THE COLLABExciting news from The Collab at THesis. The restaurant is now open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week, plus brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Adding to the fun, there’s a lively padel pop-up in the paseo just outside the restaurant. We grabbed a table outside courtside, which made for the perfect Miami day of enjoying a relaxed brunch while getting in on the action on the padel courts. Great food, sunshine, and a little sport in the air… a winning combination for a weekend outing. EARTH DAY'S BUZZ BEGINSEarth Day was first celebrated on April 22, 1970, when millions of Americans came together to raise awareness about pollution, conservation, and the importance of protecting our planet. The movement helped spark landmark environmental protections and inspired communities everywhere to think more carefully about how everyday choices affect the world around us. More than five decades later, Earth Day is celebrated globally, reminding us that caring for our environment doesn’t require grand gestures. Even small steps like reducing waste, planting something green, or choosing reusable items can drive change. CLEANER WATER, GREENER LIVINGThis Earth Day, take a step toward a healthier home and a healthier planet with a whole-house water purification system. Enjoy cleaner, better-tasting water from every faucet while reducing reliance on bottled water and cutting down on plastic waste. It’s a simple upgrade that supports your family’s well-being and a more sustainable lifestyle. Mention 305Hive for $500 your water system. For a free water test, call Rodrigo at 305-898-9885. BEE SMART ABOUT FOOD WASTELooking for a small Earth Day habit that makes a real difference? A countertop compost bin is an easy place to start. These compact containers sit neatly on your kitchen counter, collecting fruit peels, coffee grounds, eggshells, and other food scraps that would normally end up in the trash. Once full, the scraps can be added to a garden compost pile or dropped at a local compost collection site. It’s a simple way to reduce waste, nourish the soil, and keep a little more out of the landfill.
